Our Canteen operates one day per week (Fridays)
under the management of our Parents & Friends Committee.

Parents volunteer their services to run the canteen – this assists with keeping costs to a minimum.

Dear Parents/Caregivers
At St Joseph’s School we are fortunate to have a Canteen, run by volunteers, that provides a great service to the school and students.

Please read the attached note from the canteen committee and action as required.

Ordering canteen items can ONLY be ordered through the QKR! App.

It can be uploaded to your phone, iPad or home computer and provides the opportunity for you to place a canteen order for your child.

In order to place a canteen order you will be required to follow the prompts to set up your child’s profile.

Cut-off time for canteen orders is 8am each Thursday morning.  If you delete your order before this cut-off time you will not be charged.  Orders cannot be deleted after the cut-off time, and as items will be delivered according to the orders placed, there will be no refunds.

How do I reset my QKR! with Masterpass password?

Please notify the front office if your child is sick or away if they have a Canteen order.  A sibling or Parent may collect their food from the Canteen.

We continue to use the ‘Right Bite Healthy Eating and Drinking’ program as a guide for our Canteen menu.  Running the Canteen once a week means we can include foods which are considered “sometimes” foods.  We also offer a variety of healthy alternatives. The Canteen Committee acknowledges that parents are the primary educators of their children when it comes to making healthy food choices.

Do Food Safely is a non-accredited, online learning program provided by the Department of Health Victoria and proudly supported by Queensland Health, South Australia Health and Tasmania Health.

Do Food Safely is designed to enable you to understand how to safely work with, and handle, food in commercial settings.

Please read through the information in the seven topics, then undertake the assessment quiz to gain your Do Food Safely certificate of completion.  Once completed, please send a copy of this certificate to the front office.
